Default More monitors!

The FAQ is written really well, but it only addresses how to use 2 monitors. Now I already have 2 working just fine. I use both ports of my graphics card, only a adapter on one of them. (one DVI to 12pin adapter, if that makes sense??)

But I want more monitors!

well ok, how do I do it? I'm planning on getting a new PC anyway, so what hardware requirements are there? Do I need 2 graphics cards with 2 connections (outlets / ports/ choose the correct word) each? Or is there some cool thingy like a "monitor hub"?

thanks for you responses, I know there are people who have 5+ monitors working on 1 machine...

and pls excuse my inferior knowledge of English computer terms

Default Re: More monitors!

You can get another video card to add more monitors.

Most people use two video cards with two DVI ports on each for a total of 4 monitors. However, there are some video cards that will support up to 8 monitors on their own.

The best option right now is to get another video card (PCI or PCIe, depending on what kind of open slots you have on your motherboard) with two DVI ports. When you get your new computer make sure you get two video cards each with two DVI ports.
