Re: 100NL - AQ vs Relatively known tag who CR\'s flop.
b/f turn for 32-36. some weaker Q's will call and only better hands will raise, so you can get away relatively unscathed.

Re: 100NL - AQ vs Relatively known tag who CR\'s flop.
I don't have a problem with the turn call, but I think we're down to very little we beat on the river. He raised flop, he bet turn, he bet river - do you ever do that with worse than TPTK against someone you have no read against except you don't think he's bad?
I would simply fold the river. I don't like turn lead because we would only do this with a hand like AQ - with a hand like 444, we would let him bet for us. A turn lead says "Hi, I am worried about the strength of my hand" |

Re: 100NL - AQ vs Relatively known tag who CR\'s flop.
If you want to convince him on the turn that we have 444, then you'd have check raise him, and that wouldn't be the best idea with our AQ. Check calling, imo, also screams AQ.
This is a situation where we're betting for information, not as much value. Should he just call our bet on the turn i would be calling a shove on the river, since very few checkraise a set on the flop, and then slowplay it on the turn. |
