What are your chances of getting all the money back from the thief? Did he lose it from UB or is it still there? How seriously are the police taking it?

[/ QUOTE ]

Apparently the transfered money was also lost in play, but I am completely unsure of the details of this.

The police have assigned the case to a detective in their office responsisble for internet crimes. Unfortunately, the said detective has been out sick this week, and probably has not had a chance to see the case. (awesome time to get sick..)

Transfers are supposed to be legit. Most poker sites won't let you transfer unless it's good money, that's why they don't let you transfer until 90 days after an epassporte or credit card deposit, because they want to make sure fraud isn't going on. If it wasn't good money, Pokerstars shouldn't have let the transfer go thru.

This problem would never happen with Full Tilt or Ultimate Bet, and because of this I probably won't do transfers with Pokerstars again.

Oh yeah? check this out

Not 5k, but same scam.

"I didn't think there was any risk on my end."

You thought wrong.

Pokerstars came thru! Yippeee! They let me keep my funds. However, they did say that any future similar transfers are at my own risk. So any more of these kind of transfers that I do will have me screen the player heavily to make sure that they are legit. I am happy that Pokerstars did the rigth thing, which proves that they are a standup company.

If I were you I would quit while I am ahead. You are too ignorant to offer such a service.

pretty redic of Mjafish to expect any of "his" $ back, it is your responsibility to keep your login info secure, plus the whole "friend" situation is obv sketchy

Thanks CTS. Keep up the good playing and be careful of IVey!

Cent Bank Intl is back in business now. I charge 5% for transfers between US sites, except 8% if you want to trade your UB funds or sites that don't allow US citizens. Email me at agefvert@yahoo.com if you're interested. I do a $300 minimum.
