Anybody thinks that a 50NL player should invest in coaching ?

[/ QUOTE ]

I would say coaching is definitely worth it, but I wouldn't pay 150-200 an hour for it when you're still trying to beat .25-.50 NL.

Coaching is definitely worth it at 50nl. Typical price range for micro NL with 3-bet is between 60 and 100 per hour, not 150-200, all obviously dependent upon the coach.

With that said, a coach can be very, very valuable to the success of a 50nl player and their progress of moving up through the stakes.

Are you saying that 3-bet charges less per hour for coaching microstakes players by these same coaches or are there a seperate set of coaches who coach micro players that hasn't been listed in this thread?

some coaches just have hourly rates and their players stakes dont matter, others (the coaches) adjust their rates depending on the stakes of their player

either way its a coach thing and not a 3bet thing

Ok, since other people have done this, I'm gonna lay out my situation and hopefully find a coach that works for me.

I'm beating 100nl at a rate that I'm happy with (5bb/100 over my last 50k - includes a few huge tiltfests for several buyins), but every time I move up to 200nl, I run about breakeven or barely winning.

I think it may be due to me being a TAGfish and just playing way too tight/predictable. I have a few bad sessions (KK v AA, set under set or whatever) and it kills my winrate, so I'm assuming I'm just playing my cards mostly and when those aren't working out I lose.

I run at about 18/16 to 20/17, but I would like to be at about 25/20 or higher. I would like a coach that would help me loosen up my game and help me learn a LAG style (I don't mind if it teaches me like 30/23 preflop as long as I learn a lot about postflop control). I keep trying to open up my game but I just end up spewing and being dumb.

Who would be the most effective coach for me if I'm looking for these characteristics?

making your goal to achieve certain stats rather than to make the best decisions possible seems pretty bad to me

if you work on improving your decisions across all streets your stats will take care of themselves

Yeah, I made that sound really bad didn't I. I guess what I meant to say is that I wanna know where I can apply more pressure pre and postflop, I just assumed I could do that by saying just loosening up.

Does any one respond to applications on 3-bet.net. It's been a while since I applied. I know I can't afford some of the coaches, but just please let me know whom I can contact for 100$/hr or lower.

Krantz is traveling until Labor day when he will be back in full force so as of right now he is without internet access for the most of his travels.

With that being said you can PM me here, or AIM @ Threebetinfo and I can help if you are having any problems with the app, or anything else.

you could also PM any of the coaches on the list individually to see if they're available.
