I fold this pre-flop.

Your odds aren't good to hit a hand at all, and more often than not you get yourself into a pretty marginal situation like this one.

As played, I think you have to get it all in on the flop, but seriously, completing from the SB with marginal hands like this is a pretty big leak.

with your stack and those blinds, the only way I put more money in preflop is if I'm shoving...and I probably wouldn't shove j8o...unless I had a solid read that limpers were chronic pf limp/folding...anyways I'd fold pf and spare myself 150 chips

Once u check this flop into two people, the only hand that u can have is a draw. You have zero FE after MP1 bets 900 on this flop...you're getting called everytime. As long as you realized this, i think u played the hand fine. Your draw is big enough, or has enough equity (about 48% vs TP), that u don't need any FE here for the c/r shove to be slightly EV+/EV neutral.

This is a flush draw (and not the nut flush draw) plus a gutshot straight draw.

These are 12 outs at best, I would count 10, cause you might complete your flush and still loose to the Kh, same it true for the gutshot.

So I would say your equity is about 38% here.

You have to play that flop, thats clear. The question is, is it better to bet out or to check-raise as you did.

As the pot is already more than 1/3 of your stack it's much better to lead out here. If any of your opponents bet out and you re-push your FE is very low. But you need FE to make this a +EV hand.

You can decide what you like more, a pot-sized bet out and call to a push or push yourself - you are committed anyway.

If your opponents are good I would make it pot-size, otherwise just push yourself.

Checkraising with your stack-size is the worse option imo.

And yes, fold this hand preflop.

I think push is better than CRAI, but what about a flat call? This way me get the BB to hang around and help build the pot.

I don't like the call.

As said, you need FE to make this hand +EV, further you need to see both turn and river, to make it worth a play.

If you commit yourself you have to play for your whole stack and if you miss your draw on the turn you will face a big bet, where you don't get the odds to call.

There's good advice in this thread. You're too short to complete the SB here hoping to catch a lucky flop. If you have 50 BBs, sure, go ahead and speculate a little. But with 10 BBs, you're options are limited.

You'll need to double up in order to get anywhere in this tourney. Spewing 150 chips here is like losing 300 if you do double. Plus, it also lessens your FE when you have to pushbot.

Everyone says the same, everyone is right, you have to fold this preflop. If you doubt it,look st the result, you went broke with a horrible hand. As played, you have to bet the flop if you want to play at all. With a bet,you have FE,with a c/r,you have none. Although I doubt he folds his draw,he might,ok,he prob wont but he might....

But easy fold preflop

Ummm, this is clearly NOT the reason to fold this pf. You could have flopped JJ8 and it still would have been wrong.
