[/ QUOTE ] nope, you guys keep having results-oriented thinking. LSU played an even game at both Florida and Auburn. Against Florida, the Tigers were in control of the game before a fumble at the 1/2 yard line....fluke play that is similar to AA getting cracked on an allin. They made a few late interceptions when it became a one-dimensional pass attack to get back in the game. Against Auburn, LSU had their worst performance of the year. They were outprepared in the Tuberville v Miles match-up. The team wasn't ready to play, but still came within a few close calls of winning. I'm thinking the best team= the best team. JaMarcus Russell showed something with that drive verse Tennessee. It was the missing ingredient to the Tigers being the best team in the country.

Most sharps I talk to believe in LSU. The polls reflect alot of just W/L resume. They are not solely a vote for best team. I think that LSU being at #4 is a recognition of how good they are despite the W/L record.
