Draw-o-Rama after defending SB $4/180
I was torn between semi-bluffing to take it right away and check-raising the "stealer." I also don't think building the pot is bad either. Is one "better" than the other?

Re: Draw-o-Rama after defending SB $4/180
I think I'd make a 3/4 pot lead. If he has any kind of overpair (or AJ), you'll get raised and that should help build the pot.
If you do get raised, I'd be torn between flat calling and pushing. The fact that you may be drawing (nearly) dead or at least against trips might speak against a push. I say turn the Ks and hope that they have 99 and KK respectively. |

Re: Draw-o-Rama after defending SB $4/180
I'd do whatever would get the most chips in on the flop. A lot of this is read based depending on what you've seen villian do previously. My default play would be check-raise on the assumption that villian will continuation bet whether on a steal or playing a legitimate hand (hopefully not Ax spades).

I think I just lead for t150 here. If your stack was smaller in relation to the pot, I'd like CRAI more.

Re: Draw-o-Rama after defending SB $4/180
Just realized that there are two villians. That could argue for leading out since one of them is bound to like this flop, but want to protect his overpair or whatever and might raise. If you check you're almost sure to get bet at, but a check raise might slow them down more than a lead bet-call raise would.

this is a textbook bet/3bet AI. If flat call I prob check shove turn.

leading at the pot gets chips in the middle faster, which is exactly what you want on this flop. bet/3bet AI is the line to take.

Echoing the opinions of others:
Building a pot is most easily accomplished by leading the flop for 120-150 and then pushing all-in over a re-raise. If you are flat called, I agree with Shaun in check-pushing the turn improved or unimproved. |
