I play your line exactly... for some reason most are less likely to fold to action on the turn than on the flop.

I'm fine just calling on the flop, it looks like that guy felt obligated to take a stab since no one else seemed interested. On the turn the board has more draws, and again we don't really have a reason to think villain will bet for us, so I lead out. I don't think the line was donkish, I was just joking, but I don't think it's optimal in this spot.
