Quick question for folks more in the know but how rigged is the ultimate fighter series, not the fights but in the fighters likely to move on from the series into UFC.

It's pretty much the same thing. They are only looking for two or three guys to do well, which was a problem in seasons 1 and 2 because the guys wouldn't think strategically and the best fighters kept picking each other in the early rounds for the "challenge." Dana even came on and told them to stop doing that, but it didn't work. So you had the hand-picked guys getting busted up and dropping on medical or losing.

So next they started taking one or two B level fighters, and fleshing out the ranks with C & lower level guys, and then even having the coaches pick the semifinal match-ups.

Some guys get shots after the show because they're colorful or exciting (Chris Leben).

I know a lot of good fighters turn down the show, because the "Six Figure Contract" is kind of a joke (4 fights, must win all four, other T&C) and they don't want to risk a shot they know is coming on show with that format.

In case anyone hadn't heard, M-1 is being funded by some sort of American with ties to Broadway and named Monte Cox as their president.

I don't see anyone talking about Brock Lesnar's signing with
the UFc. This is HOOOOGE. He is the real deal and should
open some eyes when he gets into the octagon.

While Brock has a lot of potential, is extremely athletic, and obviously is enormous, there's no way to claim he's the "real deal." We haven't seen the dude get hit yet. Give him a couple of fights against competent competition before jumping all over his nuts.

There's rumors that Dana is officially announcing Wanderlei Silva's first UFC opponent after this show/during ScreamTV. All signs point to Chuck.

It wasn't, but Dana just announced it.

I pray to god that Wandy and Chuck are injury free until December.
