Default Help my Sister get promoted

Help my sister get promoted. $50 cash-money reward if she uses your idea AND gets the job and/or favorable write-up.

This is the email I just got from her:

I have an interview for a training specialist job at Edison. In the interview I need to have a 7 minute presentation on how to set a table. It's to see how well I would do as a trainer. There are 25 people applying for 3 positions so I need to stand out with something exciting funny and memorable. Any ideas? I was thinking a power point or something but I need alot of ideas on how to keep them entertained for 7 minutes. Let me know asap if you have any ideas.

[/ QUOTE ]

I've never been great at presentations that involve props or power-points... I'm more of a shoot-from-the-hip kind of guy.

Any thoughts?

Tell her to not wear a shirt to the interview. I win.

I'm assuming that everyone has the same task and they'll do it methodically "put the fork here and the plate here and so on". Easy to remember mnenomic devices to help remember what goes where may show a little touch of creativity and thoughtfulness that will help her stand out.

I have never seen a PP presentation that was even remotely entertaining. Tell her to scrap the PP if at all possible.

She might get extra points for being culturally aware... ala how Chinese/Japanese/Middle Eastern/Africans/Euros/etc set the table.

This trend of "help me/my relatives just because I post in OOT" is lame. The thing with that one school was cool once, the recent stuff is weaksauce.

If you sister can't hang on her own, she shouldn't get the job.

BUT $50 IS $50~!!!!!!!!!!

Can she choose the settings? Have her set up the table for a little kid's birthday party, with some fun commentary on the plates, forks, table dressing, toys, etc. It sounds uberlame here but it's cheesy and PC enough to make it work on a job interview.
