will full tilt give me any problems if i log in from a different location?

Possibly.

If the other location ever logs into FT under another account (your friend play there too?), then its likely you'll have problems.

Try to avoid it.

Edited because I couldn't find the posts I thought I remembered.

This how some people get in trouble. It is possible but why risk it? If you have been following this forum, you should realize that players have had their accounts locked due to "suspicious associations". If some crook logged in the same PC that you are trying to use , a site may assume that you are part of the same group. It is not easy to convince a site that you were not participating in something wrong if you are using the same PC or IP address
