Default Lee Jones limit book

I have SSHE, TOP and HGIYLHE and plan on buying WTO, hold em on the come and The real poker II. I was wondering if I could pick up something from Lee Jones' book or if these books cover everything in his book that I should know about limit hold em. Any input would be appreciated.

No you will probably not pick up anything new in his book, it will just make you play like a nit. Hold em on the come and The real poker II are very good books, which you definitely should buy.

"You should be looking for a reason to fold."

That's basically it.

If you don't have a beginner book yet, this is a good one. It may fill some gaps about basics that aren't there in the more advanced books since many already assume you know the basics.

It is an OK beginners' limit book.

In the meantime, a better beginner's (mainly) limit book was released: Getting Started In Hold 'Em.

Making the Lee Jones book sort of obsolete.

I think Lee Jones' book, 3rd revision, was a good step between GSIHE and SSHE. SSHE gets intense quickly but GSIHE is pretty basic.

I just view it as a bridge I used between the two books.

Pretty good way of putting it.

Give it a miss. Though I like his starting hand diagram; not the hands, just the way he lays it out.
