Please don't minraise here - you can get much more value than that. I like the raise to 60, as you'll get called by ANY ace here very often. The only you're really repping is a rivered straight, so you're FOS here a fair amount (in his eyes). Sucks that he has 2pr - he's definitely a nit for tanking here imo.

I imidiately stopped playing him because he is such a nit. But it is interesting that I hoped he would fold when he thought so much about it because I figured he had A3. So sick.

I never make a minraise. It goes against my general style. It is an interesting idea, however.

It really depends on the villain, but a bare ace here is more of a bluff catcher than a strong hand.

Very standard hand. If you check the turn you have to raise this river. Raise 55-65 and fold to any more action.

Let's say the only way for villain to pay me off is if he has an ace. Probably he has AT, A9, A8, A7, A6, A5, A4, A3 or A2. With other hands, he is probably reraising preflop. This is 9 combinations. I can beat 6 of them. And against a solid villain, I can discount A2, A4, A5, A6, A7. At the end I find that the only way I am getting called is if he has AT or has me beat. It would be different if the straight didn't come. That way I could get called by those dry aces.

Or maybe I am just thinking too much.
