Default last night at Hollywood Park

$1/$2 NL, $40 buy in. Young Russian-American guys sits to my left. Very friendly, nice guy, talkative, playing real loose. Twenty minutes or so in I am in the BB, and he raises to $8 UTG with about $60 behind. UTG+1 re-raises to $16 about $40 behind, 1 fold then MP2 pushes all-in for $47. Everyone else folds and it's back to the Russian guy. He flashes me QJo, and says "I don't think I can let this go". I smile, and then my jaw just about drops when I realize he's serious and pushes in all his chips to call. UTG+1 calls and flips over KK. MP2 turns over his obvious AA. Flop comes T8x, turn is a blank, and of course the river is a 9, and now the table has a conversation topic for the next hour.

For those who haven't played at Hollywood Park, all the blind structures for small NL holdem stakes suck and are like this. Ppl who play there are generally the biggest donkeys on the planet. Just my style.

Beat: GL beating the rake at 1/2 NL
