Security detects and removes trojan every time I reboot
McAfee security program detects trojan genericdownloader.g and some other file newmalware.j, both in C:\Windows\System\Spool something, every time I reboot. Now the security is catching the files, but it can't get rid of them permenantly. Is this a problem? What should I do about it?

[/ QUOTE ] Two things to try: Turn off system restore, and run the scan in safe mode. Malware sometimes hides in the system restore. It's also possible that McAfee is missing something that keeps reinstalling the two that it is catching. |
