Default Ballys LV 11-24 -11-28

Played at 1/2 at Ballys LV ran into a couple of 1/2 "pros" and I use this term lightly. When a asked a local "pro" Mike who came from Boston to live in vegas to play 1/2 for a living with his roomates about the new rake. The 5 plus 1 for the jackpot he explained the play made up for it. Now I don't believe this at all. Why would a "pro" want to pay such a high rake everyday. I would think 1/2 for a living is all but impossible and with the high rake it is even worse. I believe there were a few wannabe "pros" when I was there, but one thing I noticed about the local play in general is the overvalue of the overpairs even with very little money in the middle or in the stack sizes at the table. Any "pros at my table last week let me know.
