There was a story in Russia I think where ome guy bet his wife, (no table stakes I take it), lost, the guy comes to his house, and the wife leaves her husband due to his stupidity in betting her, and marries the winner.

There was a story in the Bahamas where a guy bet his Aston Martin in a nuts vs 2nd nuts NL hold em hand, and lost it.

Obv Aston Martin > wife > daughter

Her mother, Nooran said her husband racked up a debt of 10,000 rupees ($190) to Haider playing cards.

Where they playing 0.25/0.50? Ballers.

When a loaf of bread is .02 in these third world countries .25/.50 is pretty baller.


As for the article I have never understood the concept of betting things like land, cars, and women if you don't have that behind to start with and its pretty weird that someone would have his daughter as part of his stack.

Of course if I have the nuts I guess I really wouldn't care if the other guy brought more chips/property on the table in the middle of a hand.

i hope you are joking. its a pretty damn funny story though. how'd you meet your wife. oh dad won her in a poker game, hitting a backdoor flush.
