Default $16 AJo TPTK monotone flop w/ big stack

Hi,

I'm reviewing some HH. I'd like your opinion on this one. Villain is a breakeven player.

PokerStars Tournament, Big Blind is t100 (5 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com

Hero (t5055)
CO (t2125)
Button (t1190)
SB (t3300)
BB (t1830)

Preflop: Hero is in UTG with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
<font color="red">Hero raises to t300</font>, <font color="gray">CO folds</font>, <font color="gray">Button folds</font>, SB calls t250, BB calls t200

Flop: (t900) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, <font color="red">Hero bets t600</font>, <font color="red">SB raises to t1700</font>, <font color="gray">BB folds</font>, <font color="gray">Hero folds</font>

Pf raise might be a little too big but how to play this flop ?
NB : Villain has still 1300 behind after rraising.

I think it's fine, I don't think that we can restructure the betting at all in order to give us FE with a 3-bet flop shove, a fold is probably best. I hate to lay down tptk at this level but I think we've got to here

Agree that preflop is a tad too much.
Flop, just check and be willing to let it go. What are our other options, shoving the flop?

Raise less pf.
Flopbet is a must obv. Villains raise looks strong so meh. On Party this is an easy reshove.

I think this is one of those hands where you have to go entirely off your read of the other player. Is he/she capable of a check raise bluff? Is this person trying to get tricky with the nuts? At the time you maybe just felt that it was right to fold - and you were probably correct.

Hmm, is it totally wrong to check behind, and bet a brick on the turn really hard? That's my line most of the time.

300 isnt terrible pf, yeah i guess 250 is better at a reasonable table. As played I'd probably just fold, if hes a reasonable player (hes not a loser), then you're not going to play well against his range here as hes usually going to have us beat or have decent pot equity with his draws/combo draws. With the stacks I just like to fold. I think checking behind and betting when checked to on safe turns is a viable line also....youre just too deep to stack off in this spot IMO.
