Re: Best Metal/Hard Rock Bands
For oldschool metal it is hard to beat
1) Slayer. I mean come on, who can compare? 2) Corrision of Conformity (early albums, particularly Animosity) 3) Void (best out of control band ever, got lumped in with the early 80s DC hardcore scene, but pure metal) 4) Voivod |

Re: Best Metal/Hard Rock Bands
and just because they were possibly the best band of all times,
Bad Brains (not metal, but possibly you could include them in a suitably broad hard rock class), http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vDZWd...ed&search= |

Re: Best Metal/Hard Rock Bands
wow, i have gone back and checked out some of these bands that i have never listened to or even heard of, lots of great unknowns out there.
I was also going to throw out Hatebreed, see someone else already did. I'll say Ill Nino is pretty decent too, I listen to them in phases. Killswitch Engage has a new song that doesnt suck. |

I like old school. AC/DC and Led Zepelin. [/ QUOTE ] I have been listening to these two a lot more lately. I dont limit myself to old school or new school, I have a fairly wide range of bands that i like, Led Zep and AC/DC to Tool and Chiamara and on occasion sprinkled with some Nickleback, Ill Nino, 36 CrazyFists, and list goes on. |
