I think the best case scenario villain is on a heart draw or a combo draw. Worst case scenario you are dominated by a better K. I would discount 88 or 77 from his range, but since the board is so draw heavy he might have been pushing scared or just hoping you would call light given the action is 3way. I would weigh his range pretty heavily toward a better K.

I don't think this is a snapcall, but I am no specialist in 3handed play.

If I were you I would 3bet a bit bigger to like 6.5 given that you are OOP, and KTs is a tough hand to play OOP against a competent opponent, even if it is 3handed.

I trust your advice over mine, but what does villain have that we have solid equity against?

a flush or straight draw? if he calls with SCs IP (quite likely), he's going to see this as a dream flop and definately want to get ai with an 8 out draw.

I don't like your pf at all, 5.5 is such a weired number that you almost never take it down preflop against a tagfish. He's almost right to call you for set value As played I fold flop. Villains always give you credit for AK if anything. I think you see AA and sets there a lot. If he has a draw, I consider the villain outplayed us because of the preflop mistake. Best case scenario imho you are flipping.

hmmm.

I am actually villain in this hand - the real villain (Hero in the OP) snap called me so quickly my head started spinning.

Given that he flopped TP in a 3bet pot I can understand the call. Tho I thought I had some FE for hands like QQ JJ that will fold sometimes - and even if he calls me EVERY time it's +EV all round thanks to the dead monies.

here's the hand from my perspective.

Party Poker, $0.25/$0.50 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 3 Players
LeggoPoker Hand History Converter

SB: $66.79
BB: $49.72
Hero (BTN): $54.58

Pre-Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (BTN)
Hero raises to $2, SB folds, BB raises to $5.50, Hero calls $3.50

Flop: ($11.25) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
BB bets $7, Hero raises to $49.08 and is All-In, BB calls $37.22 and is All-In

comments etc to the usual address...

Awwww .. I was just about to reply and then I saw this.

But yeah, once you cbet, the first is a call ... another line is to check/push, tho it is hard to say what to do if villian checks behind ? ... so it is fine, at least on such a wet board.

Seen from the AQ perspective, then it looks like an easy push, it is a fd+gs(=the ace, at least some of the time) with tons of dead money in the pot already.

You flipped for stacks and holla, not much to write home about.

You put your money in good. What else are you supposed to do here? Its the top of his range.
