Default Full Tilt I really want to like you...

but every time I try there is something you do that is worse then Pokerstars.

Has anyone here had any luck unregistering from a Full Tilt tournament after qualifying for one? I know its in there rules that you can't unregister but maybe someone here was able to talk there way out of it?

I qualified for the FTOPS #7 on Friday and unfortunately am being called away last second for a weekend trip. Any advice here or am I screwed and will just be wasting a $215 buyin?

Razz? Heh. Hey, maybe you can autofold your way in. I hear most players are really, really bad at it.

Cobra,

If you cannot unregister maybe you can have someone play for you. Is there anyone you trust + is decent? I'd do it for a 50/50 split

Better option than losing the buyin.

I believe the policy is to let a player unregister, and add him into another tournament of the same value. Make sure you give support some time to do it.

If you abuse the policy (i.e. you keep playing satellites with no intention to play the final tournament) then they will stop unregistering you. But if something comes up, it shouldn't be a problem.

I've unregistered you and converted the entry into $216 cash.

Do you like us now?

Get some rebuys and I will consider it.

Doug, that is awesome. You have been a great resource on this forum. I do question why I had to use twoplustwo instead of just getting this type of help from customer support in the first place but I definitely appriciate it.

Below are the responses I got from staff when I requested them. I even offered to play in a different FTOPS instead of the Friday night one as a fair comprimise. Thanks again, I promise I will not abuse this but you really should consider implimenting a system like pokerstars has with its W$ and T$.

Hello Adam,

Thank you for your email.

Unfortunately, players cannot receive refunds for tournament seats and
they cannot sell or transfer their seats to other players. Once money
is placed into the tournament prize pool, it cannot be removed. If you
play a satellite for a given tournament, you should ensure that you are
available on the date and time of the tournament.

I do apologize for the inconvenience, but wish you the best of luck in
the tournament.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.

Regards,

Louise

ok, thank you for the quick response. I must say this is another thing that might make me consider playing on another site.

I really enjoy your site and want to continue playing on it but these are important things that need to be changed and quickly.

(not sure why you wish me luck in a tourney I told you I can't participate in)

Hello Adam,

Thank you for your feedback.

We do understand your frustration with these issues, however, we are
unable to remove players from a tournament they have won a satellite
entry into. Please refer to our rule #8 of our tournament rules:
http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/tourRules.php.

We appreciate your play on our site, and your suggestions for possible
improvements we can make. We will take your comments under advisement
and consider implementing you suggestions sometime in the future.

We often roll out new features on our site FullTiltPoker.com, many of
which are a direct result of our players' input. If you'd like to have
a more direct impact on our site, you might want to visit our Online
Poker Forum at http://pokerforums.fulltiltpoker.com/ and post a comment
under Feature Requests or Feedback.

We wish you the best of luck and look forward to seeing you at the
tables.

Regards,

Louise

Wish List for Full Tilt:
Embrace a policy similiar to Stars.
I don't play satelittes on Full Tilt EVER. This is 100% because I don't have the option of converting my win into cash or tournment dollars, and I don't want to risk being scheduled for a tournment that I can't easily and reliably get out of.

I realise the support staff SHOULD be able to put me into another tourney. But that SHOULD is too iffy for my comfort level.

I had a similiar thing where I couldn't make the Sat Nite tourney. I asked for a postponement. They said that it would be unfair to all the others who had a similiar thing and lost out. So, basicly, what they said was "we screwed a lot of people, so screw you too."

As a result, I only play sats where I win a $26 or $75 token. I can use that whenever. I do like the Stars deal better though.
