Favorite Pixar Movie

I think A Bug's Life and Monster's Inc. are probably the weakest entries here.

My son's fav: Cars
My fav: Nemo
Wife's fav: Incredibles

I should have added that my kid's favorite is probably A Bug's Life. But she loves insects. Her least fav is The Incredibles, but only because my wife won't let her watch it. She didn't seem to like Cars much either.

But it might be an age thing. When she was 3, she would watch a movie a dozen times and not get bored of it (she's probably seen Bug's Life and the the two Toy Story movies 2 dozen times each.) But now that she's 5, she'll rarely watch a movie more than twice. So I think she's only seen the Cars DVD once and has never seen the Incredibles DVD (she only saw it in the theater).

I haven't seen Cars or Bugs, and I only have a vague recollection of Toy Story 2.

Monsters Inc
Nemo
Incredibles

I think the first 2 are very close, and Nemo isn't too far back.

It's a Dreamworks Animation SKG film. And I don't think any the three Shrek films are as good as even the worst Pixar movie.

IMO, the only recent kid's movie that ranks with the Pixar movies is Wallace & Gromit in the Curse of the Were Rabbit

Totally agree. Wallace and Gromit is very good, and I'd put it up there with all of the Pixar movies. Honestly, any Pixar movie, I will make an effort to go see... and I haven't seen a Shrek since the first one.

I pick Toy Story 1 in a very close race over Finding Nemo...

if only for the scene where Buzz Lightyear is whipping the other toys into shape...

and the camera pans down the line of toys doing bicep curls...

and the dinosaur is struggling mightily to do one curl of a toothpick with his tiny little arms.

I think I laughed more at that moment than at just about any other time at the movies.
