Default NLCASH - Strange line from both hero and villain

Haven't been playing him very long but I can tell that he isn't very good. He limps from his button about 60% of the time, I'm not sure if he has raised preflop at all prior to this hand.

xSCWx has 15 seconds left to act
xSCWx raises to $80 (Villain has 38 behind, this puts him all in)

His line to me looks like air or a set to me, but I felt compelled to reraise against a strange naked ace line.

I'm interested in thoughts on each street with the river raise in particular.

It depends on his limp/3bet range preflop. Seen him do this before? Since he is limping 60% of his hands to you we can asume he is not very good. I guess this all comes down to how often you think he will call with AK/put you on missed clubs and call with any A.

Dont you think he will bet bigger with QQ or AQ?

I'm pretty sure this is the first time I have seen him make a raise at all. He was limping like 60% and folding the other 40%.. it was pretty gross.

I don't give much respect to the limp/reraise line. I figure his range spans from air to a set.

Id be afraid of the limp reraise as i'm sure this isnt the first time you've raised his sb limp if he's been doing it 60% of the time. Sometime I just let go of A10o preflop, but post flop I play it the same as you have

I play it the same. Villain is dumb, he could have a lot of worse 2 pairs, and he's almost always calling with one pair here. I hate it when they instacall and show some [censored] like kj though.

I think you played it perfectly. I would play it the same way. You probably called when behind because you were not sure and raised when ahead. A good line by you.

I have taken your line quite a few times. Even if you lost this time I think it is definately +EV. Usually when they check behind on the river they wouldn't have called a lead anyway.

Another reason why it is good, as it gives the bluffers a chance to fire again. NH
