Default No Chris Simon thread?

This one looked 10x worse than the McSorley incident, and 100x worse than Bertuzzi.

But because the victim escaped with minor injuries, this one isn't thread-worthy?

Wow, that's a cheap shot. Will Simon play again this season?

It looked obvious as to what he was trying to do. I think he's done for the year.

The fact that Simon is a goon won't help his case, that's for sure. However, most people are predicting he'll get 15 games. Had he severely injured the guy, he'd have gotten the same suspension as McSorley and Bertuzzi.

I put the O/U at 10 games last night - I'll say 12 today - the NHL will screw it up because Hollweg didn't get hurt.

The RSL, or Results-Oriented League, always hands out suspensions based on injury or perceived injury. That's why Cam Janssen got three games for a slightly late hit on Tomas Kaberle, whereas that hit occurs about once a game around the rest of the NHL and there's no suspension for it.

It's really a shame that happened. It takes the focus off of what was really a great home-and-home series between the two teams. Tuesday night's game was ridiculous. The last 6 mins of last night's was pretty wild as well, (of course, that was a result of the 5 minute penalty, but it likely would have gone to another OT and shootout without it).

Definitely thought that was a goal last night. Every single angle (except maybe the overhead, which is the most misleading leaned more towards the puck being in than not in.

As and Isles fan, I could not argue if he was booted for the rest of the year. That being said, my guess is he'll get the rest of the regular season. Which seems a little ass-backwards, that he'd be let back once the playoffs start.

I think you misuse the word "think".

Anyway, I hope Simon won't play anymore this season. That attack was vicious.

I was surprised Orr didn't totally lose it and destroy Simon on the ice. Luckily for everyone involved Orr was like the last guy to get near Simon. That could of got real ugly.

Simon should be done for all of 2007, but since Hollweg was not seriously injured it will be interesting to see what Bettman decides.
