On a scale of 1-10, how dumb is McCarver constantly saying the key to the game is to have Ortiz and Ramirez bat in different innings? I'd say 32.

you're being generous.

Dumb things McCarver has said.

"Pedroia hit that harder to Sabathia than Sabathia threw it."

No [censored] dumbass. It's called physics. If I ever connected on a ball thrown by Sabathia, I'd hit it back to him harder than he threw it.

"Both pitchers are settling down"

Yeah, Sabathia pwned Kielty, Varitek and Crisp, who are batting .128 this year, and then gave up a double to Lugo. He's really settling down.

Its pretty ridiculous to say that Francona should win MOY over Wedge. One team has the same record with 2nd highest payroll, and big talent edge, the other won pretty much same amount of games with a payroll in the 20somethings and a lot less talent.

I said pretty much the exact same thing Rosenthal said before the game started. I'd give it to Wedge in a heartbeat, and I [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Tito.

I think they should leave the managers alone in the playoff, dude just looked like he was gonna punch the camera man, but yeah, pitching coaches, sure, but they aren't saying anything anyways.

on the flip side, CLE's record has more to do with excellent front office work than it does Wedge, whereas Francona has to fend off the Boston media every single day.

I don't care one way or the other, because MOY is a pretty useless award.
