Why is preflop so bad? (and don't worry about my particular cards). I understand the card equity is bad, is that ur only reasoning? (FWIW, I think it's fine against said player, and it's very good for showdown value for everyone else at the table.)

I'm just so far removed from that thought process that I think I often leave $$ on the table. I sometimes think when people call with crap, it's not only because they think they might have the best hand, but just as much to **see** what I have. It's as if they are policing the game.
