Rockets facing a re-raise preflop
In general, what do you think is the best course of action in this situation? $2-$3 NL table, $100 buy-in, with no assumptions about your opponents. You raise to $12 in the cutoff with AA, get reraised to $30 by the Big Blind. All things equal, does it make more sense to push preflop, or might you come out ahead in the long run by just smooth calling and possibly getting more of his stack after the flop? (I realize there are LOTS of variables that would influence a decision, but wondering what you all think is generally the better course of action in this situation)

Re: Rockets facing a re-raise preflop
In this game and situation I would be pushing many hands, AA included

Depends on the player, but considering you are only playing with 33bb stacks, you should push in general.

Re: Rockets facing a re-raise preflop
Calling has its advantages with short-stacked situations like this, since villain is already getting crappy odds on his worse hand against yours. If vill has QQ, he's just put in $30 to win your $100, i.e. terrible odds. He will also be unable to fold almost any flop. Then again, in a game like this, I'd expect someone to instacall with QQ PF.

Re: Rockets facing a re-raise preflop
since its so short i say its just a push because if people may be bad enough to call TT+,or JJ+ and obviously AK mayb even AQs? then again if you just call and then c/r the flop you are most likely gonna get action and since he is only getting 3:1 instead of 5:1 this might not be a bad play either.
