Script for slecting a function within a program, help?

I have pretty much given up poker for the last few days in an attempt to learn more about AHK scripting (as I was the kid that always skipped computer class in favor of sex, drugs and rock & roll, this has been difficult)

I am almost at the point where the brain child I am working on is complete, but I need help with one basic concept. I am pretty bad at describing this stuff but hopefully I can nail this one.

I want to be able to select5 a function once a program has been selected. Lets use something imple for this example. Like gametime.

So I get the code to open/activate gametime and I want it to also open the "add table" function that is available in the "File" heading.

how exactly do I go about setting this up? links to resources would be helpful.
