Right, but look at the stacks. A player with 4k+ isn't folding nearly as many hands to that 1k re-raise as he's folding to a push. The extra hands he's folding are hands that usually only continue when they hit, so Hero wins an extra 800 2/3 of the time but loses the whole 2k 1/3. Hero's last 1k or so isn't enough to make him fold KJ on a QJ7 flop. It's bad implied odds being made even worse by bubble prize pool equity considerations.

If Hero has a deeper stack, this play can get much better.

I'm not sure I get what you're trying to show with your numbers.
