I heard that am amendment to the UIGEA is being debated which would prohibit sales of books in the US that have any content related to online poker. Can they do this??

Can they do it? Yes. Would it stand up in court? No.

But if you heard that from a reputable source, it is sad when you consider the global history of censorship and book-burning.

I heard that they were in the process of depopulating the prison at Guantanamo. After that, they are going to repopulate it with online poker players who still have money in Neteller.

Don't panic yet, it's just a rumor.

Before you all go ripping the OP to shreds, don't forget what happened in Washington state after they made online gaming a Class C felony. Apparently, printing reviews of online gaming sites could be construed as "aiding and abetting."

Here is another reference to what seems to me is an obvious afront to the First Amendment.

our government basically sucks and they do whatever the hell they want, modern day witchhunts, if they can ban every reasonable sports supplement, and the anarachy cookbook, i am assuming they can do this as well. i am starting to be ashamed of being a us citizen.
