I like my flop...call or raise? (50 6max)
I like this flop. I put villain on a ten here, and he is a donk fool so he will likely call or raise any raise by me. Do you call and reevaluate the turn, or raise right here?

raise it up. Im not afraid to get it all in on this flop either. 6 OC outs plus 9 to the flush.

If he's really a donk fool and you have no FE, just call. He'll pay you off later in the hand if you hit.

no reason to get hasty if you think he will pay you off in the end anyways. see your card

I call here. If it's HU or I have a read, I raise.

Re: I like my flop...call or raise? (50 6max)
okay, lets review really quick.
there are several concepts here we need to consider: 1) the free card. 2) repping a bigger hand. 3) how we would play bigger hands. 4) its possible that BB is weak. 5) our outs. we have 15 to BB single pair. 6) if we call, and villain bets the turn, we cannot call profitably unless he bets less than 1/2 the pot. 7) Pot control. we raise, we get two cards and may buy the pot as well as build a big pot for when we hit. |

I usually raise here.
Raising gives you many ways to win the hand unimproved, which is especially good when BB is also on a draw. Raising will usually get you a free card on the turn as well. |
