I think the point is they have become a trademark of the douchebag, not that it is douchey itself. I don't look at a 50 year old man with a livestrong and think OMG Douche. The fact that it helps cancer research is good, but you also aren't a saint b/c you shelled out one dollar to look cool and the money happened to go to charity.
