I grew up in Ohio and we never had "real" winters there. Lots of slush and the occasional snow but it would never stay for long and turned Grey really quickly.

I really do not mind snow, I just do not like the inherent dangers like driving on really bad roads and the possibility of losing power. Stuff like that.

I plowed snow for 3 1/2 hours last night and will have to start plowing again tonight when I get home from work. I plowed out all the roads in our little neighborhood and even wen down the road about a mile to plow out a neighbor who's husband is working in the western part of the state.

The Highway in front of my house is closed right now and I am not 100% sure if I am breaking the law by just going into work today!!!

This is why both of my vehicles are big ass 4-wheel drive rigs! A Chevy Suburban and Dodge 3/4 ton Pickup.

Oh Ya, Icing on the cake. My wifes family from Wisconsin is supposed to arrive sometime tomorrow. Her Mom, Dad, Sister and her two little kids!

It's gorgeous here today! I want to kick off my shoes and sit out back by my fire pit, drink some cold beers and grill some steak and chicken.

Yesterday
We lost power at the house at about 8:30am
The snow finally stopped.
Power came back at the house
We could finally see Blue Sky!
The main highway running through town was finally opened back up at about 11:00am. Until that time the local sherrifs deputies had a heck of a time keeping people from going around the road closed signs and trying to get by on a closed road. $700 tickets were given out more than once.
By the time we headed home from work, the highway that had been closed to travel until 11:00am was dry. Snow was melting everywhere.
I still had to plow my driveway, the roads in our little neighborhood and neighbors driveways until 8:00pm last night. I will have more plowing to do today. There will be MUD everywhere while this stuff melts off!!!
