So betting does not begin until the final 24, what date is this?

Also, how easy is it to get money into WSEX using western union (if this is indeed the best way to deposit for US players.)

Although I haven't seen it announced yet, it will go something like this (unless they make a substantial change from the last few seasons:

Jan 29-30 - more 1st round auditions
Feb 5-6 - Hollywood week 1
Feb 12-13 - Hollywood week 2 (final 24 announced)
Feb 19 - First group of final 24 perform

Therefore the key date will be Feb 13 (or 14, if the market doesn't open right away). Expect to have bets in before the 1st group performs.

This is just my guess on the dates, assuming nothing changes from last year.

check epguides for the schedules from previous seasons.

I will edit this into the faq.

I've never used western union so if someone else could answe that one I'll add it in to the faq.

The first half of the season has been announced, it will be Feb 14 when the final 24 are announced. The competition should be over on May 23 if the schedule remains predictable but that date is not official yet.
