Default How often do you check the size of your bankroll?

Okay guys, I have the problem that I tend to check my bankroll all the time I am playing, like if I am doing good or not.

My friends always say that I should just do it once per week. And I noticed if I don't have the cashier window up where it updates instantly during my play I play much better, I don't really worry then.

I have 30+ buyins by the way so I should be fine anyway.

How can I start just checking once per week and not care about daily results?

If it puts you in a good frame of mind when its growing I don't see a problem. However, how you react when its reducing is the real issue. Does it affect your play in a negative way? Do you tilt or start worrying too much? If so that is bad and you need to stop it.

This problem I think stems from playing higher stakes than you are comfortable with, whether you are properly rolled or not.

I play limit, and I read Malmuth's "Gambling Theory and Other Topics." I never have to check my bankroll since I learned how to never go broke.

In fact, I am getting the renovations done in my apartment on the Boardwalk in AC which I bought with the excess bankroll.
