As a Yankee hater, I would be most amused with either the LaRussa or Bobby V options. Both would make pretty good theater.

Why? He's not perfect but he's far from their biggest problem. Cashman could copy Theo and find a good soldier to follow front office directions on everything (though the Joba rules kind of showed he was doing that a bit already).

I wholeheartedly support this idea.

Francona and Wedge are two of the top managers in MLB. Not sure if Wedge falls into this format though.
