This is one hand where you must know the player you are playing against. JJ are out the question, its either straight flush or he knows you well enough to get you off your boat. How were you playing at the table before this hand conservative or aggressive?

Check raise gets action from draws, top two pair, and air. If you bet less money goes in middle. Only about 10-15% of the time are you in set over set trouble. Additionally, playing hands OOP is very difficult if you just lead because you give your opponent the ability to disguise his holdings.
