kerowo as you see above i advocated a flop check as well

Yea, I agree this is a good place for a free card, but since we didn't get it I don't see spending a SB for a 1.5 to 2 outer.

can someone stove this? i'm interested to see if my gut is right. our 99 against four almost random ranges? say a 100% range, a top 80, a top 60, and a top 40%. does that approximate this level fairly well?

[/ QUOTE ]

Only 3 opponents so I threw out the 100%.

I don't understand. You can use pokerstove in this situation to determine your equity if everyone checks to you?

*grunch*

I don't think we are ahead here very often. Also, any card that "improves" our hand (8, 9, 10 or K) puts 3 to a straight on the board. I check this flop.

With our pos and now getting 13:1, can we call to see the turn? I imagine we get 4 BB's on the turn a lot if a 9 comes.. + River.

You can IF you can estimate their hand ranges well but there's also implied odds to consider which work against you in this case. Also some of your equity in this situation comes from hands like 45s that have no reason to call the flop.
