Default Andersen\'s alive and kicking

46 year old Morten Andersen signed for Atlanta Falcons yesterday.

As a Danish NFL fan, I'm thrilled.

Thoughts from you yanks?

I find it hard to believe. I thought he had finally retired.

One of the greatest kickers of all-time - in his prime combined excellent distance with solid accuracy - it also helped that he played in a dome. He doesn't quite have that leg strength anymore.

That Falcons-Vikings playoff game Moss's rookie year where Morten won it may be the greatest (non-Patriots) football game I have ever seen.

Mort has nothing on Julio Franco. That said, Mort is awesome.

Glad to see he's back. I just realized Jason Elam is still around too for the Bronco's. I think kickers could hang around pretty much forever. I doubt they lose that much leg strength and what they do lose they can compensate for with accuracy.
