Default Laptop Problem

A couple days ago my laptop started acting up. Something is wrong with the keyboard. When I press some letters on the keyboard numbers show up on the screen. It's basically impossible to type now as about half of the letters show up as numbers.

I know Windows has some sort of backup function where you can reset your system to a prior date. I've used it on my old desktop, but I can't seem to find it on the laptop.

Any help is appreciated.

It is called System Restore, what OS are you using? It is most likely a problem with the keyboard.
