Re: TT on BB. Family pot. What do you do?
*grunging*
PFR for value, and if flop turns out to be pretty scray, i'd play it like this: If flop puts one overcard on board: i would attempt a CR (hoping the bet comes from CO or Button) in order to drive out hands holding overcards to my T's. If flop brings more than one overcards, i'll b/f |

Re: TT on BB. Family pot. What do you do?
c/r'ing whatever flop is pretty bad. No one's gonna believe you. No one who's got you beat will fold. You just give them the chance to play correctly against you: if they have or even beat TP, they'll trey you, if they are drawing thin against a a pair (and they'll assume TP), they'll - correctly - fold.

[ QUOTE ]
Table is very loose and passive (6 max). Several limpers in just about every pot. What do you do in this situation? I know this situation doesnt come up very often, but I'd like your view on it. [/ QUOTE ] The default play is to raise. Bet most flops and go from there. [ QUOTE ] Is this a no-brainer value raise or should you avoid bloating the pot preflop in case you need to protect from then onwards? [/ QUOTE ] Given the choice between the "standard" play which is for value and an "adjustment" based solely on the idea of wanting to protect a hand, 99% of the time it's better to go with value. Most of the time, you won't be in position to protect anything anyway. |

Re: TT on BB. Family pot. What do you do?
Ok, thanks all.
The reason I posted this scenario was that a friend of mine suggested raising would be a bad play due to reverse implied odds. I strongly disagreed with him and wanted to get some backing here. I think I got it |

It's not a no-brainer postflop, but RIO isn't a concern with this type of hand. |

Re: TT on BB. Family pot. What do you do?
Definatly raise, I'd do a 3xBB +1 BB for each limper if it's a loose game. Then you'll know what kind of hands people have. You will have no idea where you are if you just call to see the flop.
