[ QUOTE ]
I can't stand "OfficeSpeak". Those annoying little comments that people feel compelled to make, week after week.

"How's it going"
"Not bad, for a Monday"

"How's it going?"
"Well, it's Wednesday - we're halfway there"
or
"Happy Humpday" (this one makes me want to murder people)

"It's Friday - I can't complain"

Maybe I should learn to stop asking how people are doing.

[/ QUOTE ]

the old janitor guy at work, every day asks "Hows it goin buddy?" to which I usually reply "good, how are you?"
to which he ALWAYS replies "not bad for an old_______" fill in the blank with whatever day it is. ALWAYS.

So finally I decided to test him. He would ask how I was doing and I would just say "good" and not offer the question to him. But, he would still reply

Him: "Hows it goin buddy?"
Me:"good"
Him:"Oh not bad for an old______"

(Extra rant: A lot of staff purposely take lunch at 1:30. They know that when the lawyers are at lunch, they obviously cannot be giving them something to do ... thus, they screw off during the lawyer's lunch time, then they abandon ship for an extra hour in the afternoon for their "lunch.")

[/ QUOTE ] hell yeah.

Anyways, Scott, I can one-up your stinky reheating story. I work with Koreans, that eat foul smelling [censored] everyday. Our lunch room reaks like a bums ass everyday.
