And this game illustrates why you don't pay people like Blanco, Floyd, or Izturis millions when you have solid players in AAA.

Hopefully this game forces Lou to start Soto, and makes our starting 3 Z, Lilly, and Hill. If Marquis or Kendall gets a single start in the playoffs I'm going to throw up.

Playoff Roster?

Soto
Kendall
Lee
Ward
DeRosa
Theriot
Ramirez
Murton
Soriano
Floyd
Jones
Zambrano
Lilly
Marquis
Hill
Dempster
Wood
Marmol
Howry
Wuertz
Eyre

That's 21, which leaves 4 spots open of:

Fontenot
Cedeno
Pie
Marshall
Ohman
Monroe
Hart

I eliminated Trachsel and Blanco, obv.

Congrats on playing in the Central guys

Okay, just kidding, well done and I'll be rooting for you in the playoffs

I'm pretty sure the Cubs were 5-2 against the Rockies this year.

I'm pretty sure the Rockies have won 3 more games than the Cubs this year, in a division that's about 5x harder than the Central.

Exactly my point, and I was allowed to joke around to lessen the pain that was yesterday

But like I said, I'll be rooting for you all!

Unless, by some miracle the Brewers come through again tomorrow and we by some mircale tie them for the WC

I'm pretty sure if you would have won the season series (in which you had four of seven games at home) against the very team you are implying doesn't deserve to be in the playoffs you would be in a lot better situation right now.

Here's my ideal roster. Notable players left off would be Marquis, Marshall, Eyre, Monroe.

Soto
Blanco

Lee
Ward
DeRosa
Theriot
Ramirez
Fontenot
Cedeno

Murton
Soriano
Floyd
Jones
Pie

Zambrano
Lilly
Hill
Wood
Marmol
Howry
Wuertz
Ohman
Pignatiello
Hart
Dempster (I just want it to be Dempster out there when we win the WS)

Good god Paul, sorry geez, I'll stay out of your thread

I made a bad joke, and that was seriously just that

I'm happy for you all no need to be so sensitive about it

Good luck in the playoffs! Break the curse! (Unless the Rockies get in then [censored] you all)

D-backs versus Cubs. Crap. I moved from Tempe a couple of years ago.

This should almost be a home game for the Cubs. I'd estimate that at least 40% of the fans will be cheering for the Cubbies. Do you think that estimate is too high? Maybe around 25-30%, but I think the Cub fans will be louder and make up the difference in numbers. It probably doesn't matter as much in baseball, but I'm looking for any advantage we can get.
