securities analyst : career question

I'm currently working as a customs broker, but have enjoyed pretty much everything I've read about (fundamental) securities analysis (EG various Graham; Cunningham's compilation of Buffett's essays; and Peter Lynch's books), and have lately been giving some thought to changing careers. Could anybody offer any insight into what sort of resume and educational background are required to enter the field?
