draws out of position are bad not only because you're not getting odds but because of what happened on the river. It's so damn transparent when you check-call, the draw completes and you lead out. You're implied odds are virtually non-existent. You have to rememeber this before you call on the turn, especially with this straight draw because 1) if your straight comes with the flush as it did here, you won't get paid off and 2) this particular straight involves the A coming out which trumps the K obviously so you're even less likely to get paid off compared to if u had some low straight draw and the board remained K high

Isn't it about time for a sticky saying that we have 22 forums for posting poker hands, and that you will receive MUCH better advice in the appropriate forum.

Who lurks here? Beginners and the occasional regular, like phzon. The majority of the advice you'll receive will be from beginners.
