Default Playing a Satellite - advice on strategy differences?

OK, so my local casino has a tournament series which culminates in a $3K main event in a few weeks. They have had weekly $45r & $70FO tourneys for about 12-15 weeks. These tournaments pay a combo of cash & tickets (the rebuy usually pays 6 places, top 3 get tickets + cash, the FO is usually 1 ticket + cash & paid down to 6 places).

Anyhow, I have won my way into all 4 "major" satellite's into the $3K event. These are in the form of 2 X $340 rebuys ($150 rebuys, $250 double add on) and 2 X $560 FO's.

I expect each of these events will attract 40-50 runners via guys receiving tickets & some buying in.

I don't expect the rebuy to be very active since a lot of these guys are $45r qualifiers & it'll be over their head.

Anyhow - just looking for any basic strategical differences in playing Satty's as opposed to normal paying MTT's. Is there any difference in the early "chip accumulation" stages? Or only later around the bubble?

Any advice welcome...
