It's obvious that people don't want bracelets because they look nice. Since that isn't a priority, I suppose Harrah's thinks they can skimp on the cost of the bracelets.

I think the bracelets from previous years were gaudy attention whoring monstrosity's of god awful bling. These, meanwhile, are fairly subtle and not so loud that they make you an obvious robbing target.
I approve of the 2007 bracelets.

The bracelets this year have no bling or zing. The redesign was if anything a reminder of the cheapo 10C versions of the Becky years. Harrah's should have signed up a real jeweler to do them, then you whould hear constantly, "the exclusive Harry Winston designed WSOP bracelet!", until you were nauseous and Harrah's pocketed another chunk of change in sponsorship dough players will never see. At least the bracelets could have been cool.
