I like the bigger jumps because lots of people make mistakes trying to move up a step or 2 on the pay scale.

And I am the best

This is exactly my point!

You're the best. We know this.

I think fish like big 1st place prizes and large %s of the field cashing. This of course squeezes the middle a bit, but increasing the fishiness of tournaments can only be good. It's a similar mentality of a lottery: while the lure of a huge cash hooks thim, frequent small cashes keep them coming back.

The money has to come from somewhere and that means less for first.

While I don't disagree with the rest of your point they simply need to take money from 16-18 and give that to 10-12 without changing the final table payouts to accomplish this.

This generally only works against the worst shortstacks, but it does happen on FTP.

also you don't have to deal with hand for hand which i could see being a huge pain in certain tourney structures

i think the main problem is with the sats.

eg a sunday mil sat can pay 1 player, with the next 9 or something getting the 2nd place prize whats up with that?

is it your goal to get 11th in many tournaments?

[/ QUOTE ]

There was a stretch where I had 5 10th place finishes and 0 final tables over like a month. Basically I wanted to kill myself.
