Default 400NL - really weird spot w/ turned set in rr pot

OR is semi-LAG 24/21, villain who cold call my 3-bet is a nit, 15/9. I have no history with neither of these guys.

Button ($391.30)
SB Hero ($416.50)
BB ($435.10)
UTG ($350.20)
UTG+1 ($1382.80)
CO ($394.00)

Preflop: Hero is in the SB with 9 9
2 folds, CO raises to 16.00, 1 fold, Hero raises to 50.00, BB calls 48.00, 1 fold.

Flop (120.00) J 8 Q
Hero checks, BB checks.

Turn (120.00) 9
Hero bets 75.00, BB raises to 150.00

it seems to me like villain has something like TT. I'd call and c/f non-pairing rivers

Wow I really hate this spot.

You could maybe make a case for folding now since even when the board does pair we can't rule out a higher boat, but I'd typically call and shove if the board pairs and c/f unimproved. We're getting like 5-1 on the turn which is about direct odds to pair the board against a straight, so call and re-evaluate river looks good to me.

At first I was gonna say fold, then call, now fold again. I just cant shake this feeling that he has JJ QQ and he cant put you on a ten because your only plausible hands are TT and AK/AQ(in his mind, maybe not even TT because bad players always put people on AK).

I think in tough spots like this its better to fold because there really is no upside to this hand. He either has the straight and calls a shove on a paired river, or folds it(which I think is more likely because this board is pretty scary), or has a bigger set and stacks you.
