Default Going to Mille Lacs Saturday... Will it suck?

Leaving the kids behind and heading off on a 24-hour pass with the wife this weekend. She'll crash sometime around 9:30 Saturday night, and I'll be heading down to the poker room for a 6-hour session or so.

Will it suck?

Most likely yes, tourney structure is miserable. Cash games are soft though. meh.

Prepare to be sucked out on. You can raise and bet all night long and the guy with the 92 suited will be stacking the chips.

My usual game is the 8/16 at CP. Same thing. [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Hey Milo,
I can't remember if when we talked at the Park if you mentioned that you ever played spread limit or not. Well if you want to play anything higher than 3/6 you will have to play spread limit. They will probably have some 2/10 and 4/20 games going. I only played there once and it was during a Heartland Poker Tour Weekend so it was very busy (all 10 tables going) but one of the locals said it's not usually that busy on a normal weekend. A lot of loose/passive play though similiar to Canterbury 6/12.
Good luck and let us know how it was afterward.

I recommend the raspberry ice tea. I also recommend value betting bottom pair, no kicker.

I've never seen a 4/20 game going on a "normal" weekend. Typically on a Sat. they'll have a 2/4, maybe 2 3/6 tables, a 3/6 with a kill, and a 2/10 spread game. Maybe 2 2/10 spread games. 4-6 tables total, the mix varies.

The 3/6 kill game is, well.......interesting. SL is fun for a change of pace.
I hate the room itself. Be prepared for an indifferent floor, reasonably friendly but marginally talented dealers, dreadful coffee and local residents out drawing (read sucking out on) you.
